Easy ESP – the easiest way to setup your ESP

When working on my ESP-01 remote weather/temp sensor, I found Easy ESP for working with the ESP family of chips. It is quite nice to use. I have barely scratched the surface of what it can really do. So during this post, I am giving the nickel tour of how I used it to setup my remote station.

This setup was done with my MacBook Pro (last of the real ones 2015 model) running 10.11 and Arduino IDE 1.6.12 and esptool 1.2.1.

You can download the Arduino IDE from here. The latest release is at v1.8.

The esptool.py is found over at this github. Their instructions are spot on, so when you get the software, please follow their directions.
